Elmo 350SL Sound camera I just bought....

Hey guys,

I just bought an Elmo sound camera at the goodwill store today, and when I loaded batteries in it, It didn't run and started smoking. The smoke came from inside the sound chamber, so something must be jammed.

At any rate, does anyone have any info related to this particular camera? I hear that these are decent but I want to find out for sure. It does have a nice viewfinder, similar to my Pentax K1000 35mm still camera.

Oh yeah....

Is it wise to take this thing apart and find out what may be causing it to smoke up and not run? All the other functions work except for the film chamber.

I really want to download a manual for this camera. Where was that site where you can download the free manuals?
